Mr Etcheverry, a golfer and local spokeman for Europe Ecology -The Greens has accused the Biarritz Golf Le Phare of watering the course much more than needed and authorized. The golf manager denied Mr Etcheverry's figures. ( Sud Ouest 11/06/11 )
Mr Etcheverry told Côte Basque Express that he was very optimistic because despite being a golfer - he could - as a politician - improve his lie.
The golf manager stressed that this case against the golf was a shame. He added : " Golf is the most social sport in the world. When somebody complains about how difficult to meet new people, he should try picking up lost balls on the putting green while they are still rolling ".
